Privathospitalet Kollund is now entering a new chapter with Sune Nabe Frederiksen as Chief Executive Officer, Peter Bager as Chairman of the Board, a new ownership group and fresh capital to support future growth from a group of investors.
Flair Capital was introduced to Privathospitalet Kollund when the former owners, doctor Carsten Bruun and nurse Elin Nielsen-Gehrt, began exploring a generational transition. A key priority for them was to ensure that the hospital would continue to build on the strong values and high professional standards that define it today.
Together with Carsten and Elin, we developed a strategic plan for the company’s future, including an expansion into Esbjerg. As part of that process, we sought to involve Sune Nabe Frederiksen, whom we believed to be the right person to carry Carsten and Elin’s vision forward. It quickly became clear that there was a strong alignment between Sune, Carsten and Elin, and a shared direction for the future of the hospital was established. Carsten and Elin will remain involved during a transition period to help ensure continuity and stability in the business.
With new leadership and fresh capital in place, Privathospitalet Kollund is strongly positioned to further strengthen its market position. The growth plan includes, among other initiatives, the establishment of a new private hospital in Esbjerg, as well as an increased focus on partnerships with insurance companies and preventive healthcare services.
For the hospital’s new Chief Executive Officer, Sune Nabe Frederiksen, the ambition is clear. Privathospitalet Kollund holds a unique position in the market, with strong medical professionals, an exceptional culture and a well-established reputation. Together with the new investors, he aims to build Southern Denmark’s leading private hospital and take a leading role in the continued development of the Danish healthcare sector.
